Press Centres

There are several press centers in Luxembourg for journalists who cover informal ministerial meetings that are held in Luxembourg during its Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Centre de conférence du KiemThe "Centre de Conférences Kiem" (CCKiem)

The Centre de Conférences Kiem (CCKiem) will host the majority of these meetings. Therefore its integrated press center has been adapted in order to give journalists from all over the world access to the latest technical equipment and a wide range of other facilities:

  • 400 working spaces with free Internet access,
  • 30 briefing rooms,
  • one press conference room with cabines for translators,
  • 50 posts with cutting/recording/taping tools and several stand-up positions,
  • printers, telephones, photocopiers, scanners and fax machines for journalists,
  • Wireless lan offered by the Luxembourg Presidency.

Catering is available in the new press lounge, a convivial space exclusively reserved for journalists.

The CCKiem can hold 1700 persons. It is located on the Kirchberg, in the nord-east of Luxembourg-city.

In December 2004, it was awared the luxembourgish Architecture Price 2004 of the "Fondation de l’architecture et de l’ingénierie".
