Today, 2 June 2005, Prime Minister and current President of the European Council, Jean-Claude Juncker, will meet with the German Federal Chancellor Gerhard Schröder at the château de Senningen.

This meeting, which had  initially been scheduled for 10 June 2005, falls into the "Capitales en tournée" in preparation of the European Council of 16 and 17 June 2005, particularly concerning the Financial Perspectives for the period 2007 to 2013.

Jean-Claude Juncker and Gerhard Schröder have agreed to meet today, 2 June, in order to exchange their views on the political situation in Europe following the results of the referenda in France and the Netherlands.
