Friday 1st April 2005, Jean Asselborn, the Luxembourg Minister for Foreign Affairs and Immigration and current President of the Council of the European Union, will meet Sergei Lavrov, Russia's Minister for Foreign Affairs, in the presence of Benita Ferrero-Waldner, Commissioner for External and European Neighborhood Policy in the framework of a Permanent Partnership Council. The European Union-Russia Permanent Partnership Council will take place at the Château de Senningen.

A press conference is scheduled for 3 pm at the Château de Senningen.
