Luc Frieden at G8 meeting on organised crime and terrorism

The Minister for Justice, Luc Frieden, will take part, in his capacity as current President of the "Justice and Home Affairs" Council of the European Union, in the meeting of the G8 Ministers for Justice and Home Affairs which will be held in Sheffield, UK, on Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 June 2005.

Luc Frieden will represent the European Union together with Franco Frattini, the commissioner responsible for Freedom, Security and Justice.

The meeting will essentially serve to prepare the summit of G8 Heads of State and Government which will take place in Gleneagles in Scotland at the beginning of July.

The Ministers for Justice and Home Affairs will address the fight against organized crime, the traffic of persons, drugs, pedopornography and terrorism.
