EU-Mexico Joint Council in Luxembourg on 26 May

Current relations between the EU and Mexico are governed by an association agreement which came into force on 1 October 2000. The 4th Joint Council between the EU and Mexico will be held in Luxembourg and co-presided by Jean Asselborn, Minister for Foreign Affairs and current President of the Council of the EU, and by his Mexican counterpart, Ernesto Derbez Bautista. The Ministers will discuss subjects relating to political dialogue, namely the next UNO Summit, as well as subjects relating to dialogue with civil society and the economy and cooperation.
