In his capacities as President of the Eurogroup and current President of the “Economic and Financial Affairs�? Council, the Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Jean-Claude Juncker, will attend the meetings of the G7 Ministers of Finance, as well as the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, which will be held on 15–16 April 2005 in Washington.
In the context of these meetings, Mr Juncker will also meet the U.S. Treasury Secretary, John Snow; the Managing Director of the IMF, Rodrigo Rato; and the Director of the IMF’s European Division, Michael Deppler. He will also participate in a joint European press conference with the President of the European Central Bank, Jean-Claude Trichet; and the European Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs, Joaquín Almunia.
At the White House, Mr Juncker will meet the National Security Advisor, Stephen Hadley.
