Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of State of the United States of America, will be in Luxembourg on 9 and 10 February 2005, where she will hold a series of meetings with the Luxembourg Presidency and the European troika on a ministerial level. On 9 February she will meet with Prime Minister and current President of the European Council, Jean-Claude Juncker. On 10 February she will meet with Jean Asselborn, Foreign Minister and current President of the Council of the European Union. This meeting should also be attended by the High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union, Javier Solana, as well as the Commissioner responsible for External Relations and the European Neighbourhood Policy, Benita Ferrero-Waldner. The agenda of these meetings will be focused on the state of the transatlantic relationship as well as the preparation of President George W. Bush’s visit to the European Institutions.
