The Informal Meeting of Ministers for Regional Policy and Territorial Cohesion will take place at the Kiem Conference Centre in Luxembourg on 20 and 21 May 2005.
This meeting will be centred on two mainlines: on the one hand, the strategic guidelines of the Community on cohesion, and, on the other hand, the operational contribution to the Lisbon/Göteborg strategies to territorial cohesion. The meeting will be chaired by Jeannot Krecké, the Luxembourg Minister for the Economy and Foreign Trade and Jean-Marie Halsdorf, the Luxembourg Minister for the Interior and for Spatial Development.
The Presidency and the Commission will held a press conference on Friday 20 May 2005 at 3.45 p.m. after the meeting on regional policy. A second press conference of the Presidency and the Commission will take place on Saturday 21 May 2005 at 1 p.m. to inform the media representatives on the results of the working sessions on territorial cohesion and regional policy.
Media representatives who want to cover this meeting are required to ask an online accreditation before 18 May 2005.
