Luc Frieden, Minister for Justice, will go to Vaduz and Bern on 2-3 May 2005, for a working visit in the context of Luxembourg's Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
In Vaduz, Luc Frieden will have talks with Otmar Hasler, Prime Minister of Liechtenstein, Klaus Tschütscher, Minister for Justice, and Rita Kieber-Beck, Foreign Minister. Alois von und zu Liechtenstein, the Hereditary Prince, will receive Luc Frieden in audience at Vaduz castle.
In the Swiss capital Bern, Luc Frieden will meet with Samuel Schmid, the Swiss President, Christoph Blocher, Minister for Justice and Micheline Calmy-Rey, Foreign Minister.
In Switzerland as in Liechtenstein, talks will focus on relations with the EU especially with regard to internal security and the evolution of the financial centres.
On the evening of 3 May, Luc Frieden, Minister for Justice and Defence, will give a lecture at the University of Zurich on the the subject of: "Europe, Guarantor of peace, freedom and security".
