Luc Frieden, Minister for Justice and current president of the European Union’s "Justice and Home Affairs" Council, will attend the 11th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice on 23 and 24 April 2005.
During this congress, with strategic alliances in crime prevention as the theme, Minister Frieden will deliver a speech on behalf of the European Union.
Among the main issues on the agenda of this United Nations conference are measures against transnational organised crime, links between terrorism and other criminal activities, as well as the fight against corruption.
