On Monday, 10 January 2005, the Luxembourg Government will welcome the European Commission to the opening of the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The welcome by the Government, presided by Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker, will be held at the Pierre Werner Administrative Centre on the Kirchberg in Luxembourg. It will be followed by bilateral talks among the various members of the Government and the respective representative of the European Commission. The priorities of the Luxembourg Presidency and the main political dossiers are the main items on the agenda. The discussions will finish with a plenary session meeting.
